Solidarity Day for the Special Olympics children

The AMSAK Association organized a solidarity day, dedicated to intellectual disabled children, in collaboration with Special Olympics. This took place in Gorée Island and reunited a hundred athletes and about thirty coaches.

After lunch, a football tournament gathered three Dakar teams and another from Mbour, which ended victorious, winning over Dakar’s Aminta Mbaye Center, after shootouts. During half-time, the association offered two football shirts and four balls to Special Olympics, in presence of its director, who warmly thanked Mamadou and the whole organization.
At the end of the game, medals were given to every participating team, and two cups offered to the finalists, so as to the five first male and female athletes of each category. We also attended the Bakku, which is a traditional wrestling dance, and by the end of the day, Mamadou himself called on the phone to share some words with the children.
